Making a Difference in Our Communities
The Opus Advisory Group’s Opus Foundation is pleased to sponsor deserving organizations that are making a real difference in our communities. Through their sustained outreach efforts, these organizations are playing important roles in improving the lives of children and adults, creating a brighter world for today and tomorrow.
Current Sponsored Orginizations Include:
Pajama Program
The Pajama Program started with personal contributions from founders Genevieve Piturro, her friend Alice Quirk and their friends and relatives. The Program has grown nationwide and now receives contributions from generous supporters and fundraising events across the country. Across America, Pajama Program works with various agencies to provide new pajamas and books to children in need, and those waiting to be placed in permanent homes.
Mend-a-Broken Heart Foundation
The Mend-a-Broken Heart Foundation assists needy children and families in meeting the costs of surgical, medical diagnostic and other clinical services. The Foundation also provides family housing near the hospital where the child is receiving treatment.
Communities In Schools (CIS)
For 30 years, CIS has connected community resources to schools. By bringing caring adults into schools to address children's unmet needs, CIS provides the link between educators and the community. The result: Teachers are free to teach, and students -- many in jeopardy of dropping out -- finally have the opportunity to focus on learning.
