
Russell J. Carpentieri is a co-founder and principal partner of Opus Advisory Group, LLC. He has over 20 years experience crafting sophisticated insurance strategies for entrepreneurs, corporate executives and corporations. Mr. Carpentieri is also founder and chairman of yourPFO, LLC, a firm which provides data aggregation and reporting services for high net-worth clients, and he heads Opus’ corporate benefits division, called Benefit Resources.
Mr. Carpentieri has appeared on CNN Financial Network and Bloomberg Television. He often lectures and writes for leading organizations and financial journals. Mr. Carpentieri is a consistent MDRT producer and is currently a member of the American Association of Life Underwriters (AALU). He is on the field product committees for several insurance carriers, and is a past member of the American Association of Pension Actuaries.
In addition to his work on behalf of the Opus Foundation, Mr. Carpentieri is also committed to numerous local and national philanthropic endeavors. He is a member of the national Leadership Council of Communities in Schools (CIS), the nation’s largest dropout prevention organization. Among CIS’s many distinguished board members are Steve Wynn, Wally Amos, Herb Alpert, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, and Linda Gail White to name a few. He is also part of the fund raising team of the American Heart Association, and the 21st century board of White Plains Hospital, and is one of the founding New York board members of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Russell Carpentieri studied both Management and Finance, and graduated from Syracuse University in 1983. After graduating he joined the New York Jets Football Club for two seasons as a Special Teams player. He lives in Armonk, New York with his three children, Stefan, Nicholas and Maia
