With more than 35 years in the financial services industry, Michael Perry has distinguished himself by skillfully identifying, assessing and developing strategies to assist people in efficiently accumulating, protecting and distributing their wealth. Michael entered the financial services industry in 1971, focusing on retirement planning for professionals and small to mid-sized businesses. His practice quickly expanded into providing additional services such as estate planning and succession planning for business owners.
To better serve his clients, Michael co-created a revolutionary process known as yourPFOsm, which provides financial data aggregation and reporting services for a growing list of wealthy clients. yourPFO is regarded by many leading financial institutions and advisors as the most comprehensive, yet simple planning methodology to create and protect wealth.
In 2001, Michael co-founded, and is a Principal of the prestigious Opus Advisory Group, LLC, a firm headquartered in Purchase, NY that has brought a powerful blend of intellect and experience to the financial services arena.
During his career, Michael has acted on his desire to serve charitable organizations. He has served on the Boards of Directors and committees of numerous charities including the American Red Cross and United Way. As a founding Member of the Opus Foundation, he has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for children’s charities. Michael continues to actively serve other charitable endeavors including the California University of Pennsylvania (his alma mater) Foundation Board. He also serves on the Board of Presidential Advisors at California, and in 2007 gave the Commencement Address at the university’s ceremony for graduate students.
Michael’s experiences in the world of finance, as a Naval Aviator, United Airlines Captain, nuclear power plant buyer for the U.S. Navy, and real estate entrepreneur, have all contributed to his bringing added value to his clients. In his spare time, Michael is an avid golfer, reader and world traveler.
